Moving forward with the other city in Uttar Pradesh is Banaras and the famous movie that clicks our mind is all time hit ‘RAANJHANAA’. Shot on the narrow lanes of Banaras, ghats of Varanasi, perfect location around the river Ganga was a pleasure to watch. Over the years this place has often caught the sight of many filmmakers. Songwriters have also referred to this city in various song one among is ‘KHAIKE PAAN BANARAS VALA’ from the blockbuster movie DON. This place has some magic its charm, rustic appeal, history and strong religious belief attracts the film makers to BANARAS. Many movies songs such as GHATAK, showed the ghats of Varanasi, CHOKHER BALI was shot at a fort in Varanasi, whereas various other songs have also shown many places in their song the list and that will be too long to be jotted down.
